About TEEN Mexico Cultural xChange
Are you looking for an opportunity to practice your Spanish, work with a non-profit organization, or experience a different country this summer? Volunteers for TEEN Mexico Cultural xChange (TM CxCh) do just that while spending two weeks in the beautifully serene town of Punta de Mita, Mexico, only a 45 minute drive from the vibrant city of Puerto Vallarta.
On weekdays, learn what it’s like to be an active member of an educational community, take your Spanish to the next level, and form relationships with lively kids ranging in age from 3 to 15 years as a volunteer at PEACE Summer Camp*. Volunteers will assist teachers in one of the four activities offered: sports, art, dance, or music. In addition to helping during the class, volunteers may help with the kids at check-in, lunch, or whenever needed.
On weekends savor local food, enjoy the warm beaches, explore bohemian towns and engage in an activity like paddle-boarding, snorkeling, hiking, surfing, zip lining or horseback riding.
*PEACE is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Punta de Mita, Mexico whose mission is to encourage social change in local communities through education, community pride, and health. PEACE developed a summer camp for about 300 kids from the neighboring communities to participate in music, dance, art, and sports every year.
